We are very proud to announce that our team has won the competition for the renovation of the Gandhi towers 2 and 4 in Brussels. The project addresses Brussel’s current major urban issues, such as the transformation of post-war social housing buildings, combined with the revitalization of open and public spaces.
Our proposal is guided by three core values that shape our architectural, urban, and landscape intentions:
1. Placing humans and social relations at the center of our reflections by making this project a pilot experience in integrating gender perspectives and promoting inclusivity and accessibility in the rehabilitation of social housing.
2. Activating and creating new urban dynamics by aiming to revitalize the entire Gandhi site.
3. Undertaking a thoughtful refurbishment of the towers through a renovation shaped by its physical and social context, offering a qualitative and ambitious transformation.
