Alexia Menec, Charles-Hippolyte Chatelard, Giulia Caterina Verga, Kaat Volckaert, Manon Vanel, and Vittorio Degli Innocenti are joining Alessandro Pontara, Géry Leloutre, Hubert Lionnez, Jean Garcin, and Matthieu Delatte in a renewed cooperative.
Karbon’ upholds an understanding of architecture as a collective practice. This vision is expressed not only in the way projects are developed, but also in the organization and governance within the structure itself. After a long collective process, Karbon’ has rewritten its statutes to formally affirm its principles and ambitions of horizontality and shared responsibility.
Today, Karbon’ brings together 20 architects and urban designers, including 11 associate cooperative members. The coordination of the practice is entrusted to five elected members : Alessandro Pontara, Charles-Hippolyte Chatelard, Géry Leloutre, Giulia Verga, and Jean Garcin.
